Disney has announced they will be holding open casting calls around the country in search of actor’s for the newest installment to everyone’s favorite high school film, “High School Musical 4”! It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we all fell in love with the teens. In the first contemporary musical comedy, a popular high school basketball star and a shy, academically gifted newcomer discover they share a secret passion for singing. When they sign up together to audition for the lead roles in the school musical, it threatens East High’s rigid social order and sends their peers into an uproar. The film thrust actors Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu into instant stardom!
It is being reported that casting director will be looking for singers, dancers and actors to appear in the film. You will need to showcase your skills (dancing and/or singing) so get practicing now because Open Casting Calls are reportedly going to happen this spring. Disney will be keeping everyone updated with their open call information at disneychannel.com/talentsearch.
Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney worldwide released a statement saying (about High School Musical) “It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ — as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the High School Musical franchise.” So it is official everyone! Not only will we get a High School Musical 4, casting directors for the film will be on the hunt looking for fresh talent to appear in the film.
Casting directors are looking for teens ages of all ethnicities ages 13–21. The casting notice reveals that “acting is the most important skill before singing or dancing ability. Chicago auditions are set to take place March 17th–19th. Other cities open calls have not yet been posted. Be sure to check back, we will share anymore casting information once it is released.

I have been a fan of High School Musical since the first came out and I would love for the opportunity to audition for the 4th. I have been dancing since I was 3 and taking choir classes since third grade. I am 18 years old.
This is the only time I will ever do this. I have never in my life been a devoted fan to high school musical. I am however very fond of other musicals such as the first Grease movie and I do follow Zac Efrons career. He is an astounding comedian. If his humble beginnings transformed him into the wonderful actor he is today, I believe it would do the same for me. I in no way expect to be chosen for any role really, but if I did it could be the dawning of a new day. A year ago my father passed away and I have felt very lost. Maybe this is what I've been looking for or maybe it isnt. Only time will tell indefinitely. I myself am a very outgoing and humorous individual and although I have a ticklish funny bone I can still remain serious and treat every challenge I meet with a sense of optimism and ambition. I could go on and on about myself but I have wasted much of my fingers stamina filling little description boxes like these. I wont bother going all out on this one. Either you like me or you dont.

First off, I love to sing and dance. Singing has been my passion ever since I was a little girl, and I will not stop until I am able to make my singing dreams come true. Whenever I sing, my family and friends always praise me by saying I have a beautiful voice and that I should audition for plays and movies. Like I mentioned above, I also love to dance.
