Devil’s Knot Starring Reese Witherspoon – Movie
One of the most talked about stories of the past 25 years is being brought to the big screen and some of the biggest talents in film today have signed on to tell this compelling tale. Devil’s Knot starring Academy Award Winner Reese Witherspoon is set to begin filming shortly and casting calls will soon be held for a variety of roles. This is your chance to work with some of the most gifted performers in the entertainment industry and shed light on a very important story in American history.
Devil’s Knot will tell the true story of the riveting case of The West Memphis Three, a group of three men who were tried and convicted as teenagers of the murders of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. The men were convicted in 1994 amidst growing doubts of their guilt. For the following 17 years several strong pushes for appeal were made and several celebrities and musicians used their own money and held benefits to raise money for their legal funds believing the men to be innocent. There were also a number of documentaries made on the subject, each revealing new evidence that further suggested the innocence of the accused. Finally on August 19, 2011 the men were released from prison and justice, as much as it could be was served. In addition to the amazing Ms. Witherspoon the project will also feature the talents of such luminaries as Academy Award Winner Colin Firth, Academy Award Nominee Amy Ryan, Bruce Greenwood, Mireille Enos along with many others. This is a fascinating page in our recent history and will surly be not only a very important film document but also a lock to be included in awards season discussion. Movies as powerful and important as this do not come around often and neither does the opportunity to work with the amazing talent that has been assemble for this production.
