HBO is adding a new series to their lineup and background actors are needed to work on the show. “The Deuce” that is starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal has released a casting call and producers want you to work on the show. According to Deadline, the HBO series “The Deuce” follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world that existed there until the rise of HIV, the violence of the cocaine epidemic, and the renewed real estate market ended the bawdy turbulence.

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking Caucasian men who are in their 20’s through 50’s to portray upscale and wealthy types. Non union men are being sought for this casting call. They are only seeking brand new faces who have never worked on this show before. A costume fitting will be on Tuesday, September 27th in Brooklyn, New York. These roles will be filming on Thursday, September 29th in Westchester County in Briarcliff Manor, New York.

Actors must not have any shaved heads, shaved sides or buzzcuts and should have at least 1 and ½ inches of hair length all around. This is a period piece so it’s important. Actors must confirm they have no visible tattoos, that you have not worked on the show before and note if you are okay working around atmospheric smoke. Be sure to include recent selfies, candids or non professional photos that show your current look and hair length. Not if you have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record and/or have any on set driving experience (not required).
