Chiraq Starring Samuel L. Jackson

Master film craftsman Spike Lee (Malcolm X) has only just completed his latest feature script and already he has everyone talking before a single frame of film has been shot. The controversial musical comedy Chiraq will roll in front of cameras very soon and auditions for roles in this high profile production are being organized now. Submissions from performers of all ages looking to work with some of the biggest names in entertainment today are being accepted today.

Spike Lee’s Chiraq has begun lining up it’s core cast and the collection of stunning talent so far includes Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Avengers, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace), Golden Globe nominee John Cusack (High Fidelity, The Thin Red Line, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil), Emmy Award winner Jeremy Piven (Mr Selfridge, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, The Kingdom)

, Academy Award winner Common (Just Wright, American Gangster, Selma) and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson (The Secret Life of Bees, Dreamgirls, Sex and the City). The entertaining and hard-hitting story will attempt to shine a light on the growing violence in the city of Chicago and focus on a impossibly brave woman who sets out to put an end to gang warfare in The Windy City. The title is a slang term derived from the combination of Chicago and Iraq used to describe the desperate condition of the inner city.

  5. I feel I should be considered for audition in this casting because I'm young intelligent funny handsome and I like music.. The idea of a controversial musical comedy is chanting out my name. It was meant for me to play a role in Chiraq. This movie is gong to be awesome I just wanna be able to say I had a part in its awesomeness!!?

  6. I think I'll be a perfect fit for the project because i than been through it before but where i live at today some people still judge u about what u used to do in the past mines was 11 years ago! So its still hard to get jobs! Plus i got epilepsy and im only 33 with no children! So i said no one can stop me from going for my dreams which is becoming a actor!

  7. I think I would be a great person for this because I have the potential and I love to have fun I don't have experience as an actor but believe me I would be so awesome. I have a great personality and I have the energy. I want to show the world wjst I can do as a new face of the entertainment world.

  8. I know what it is to play anorher role and adapt to your characters as if you've lived that life. Very charasmatic, joyful, determined individual with alot to offer this film.

  9. OMG What an honor would be to be part of this project!!! Since I was a child, I was always involved in theater. I also had the chance to participate in pageants and did modeling not that I am all that, LOL). I have always wanted to be in the big screen; however, due to low resources, I wasn't able to do so. I think now it is my time to shine and show that I truly have talent to perform at that scale. If you give me this opportunity, I am sure you will regret it.

  10. 1 am 17, British and currently taking my alevels and would love any opportunity that presents itself.
So if this opportunity arises I would b extremely grateful.

  11. I have always been into acting, I have been in numerous plays with the Milwaukee Youth Theatre; I played a lead role in The Phantom Tollbooth and a supporting role in And Then There Was One. Last year I took a theatre class in my high school and got an A both semesters. After this year I plan to go back to that class for the upcoming years of my high school career. I believe I would be a great asset to "Chiraq" because I have always been able to switch into a certain persona to portray a certain character.

  12. The industry's "new actors/actresses" seem to be a bit mediocre and grasp less attention to their roles simply. Who am I to judge? But I feel I can provide skill (such as switching emotions and being able to portray van as where I started) that makes fans keep their attention at focus. I have studied acting at the library down the street and by instinct when told to portray an imagine, I ask myself questions about the character to help me fit into to the attitude and the personality of the character. I look forward to contributing to team effort to making the/any film "Film of the year" or "Film of the Century."

  13. Would love to have a chance to be on the big screen ! I am finishing up my freshman year in HS ! I play football, wrestle and track. I also have done some school plays and have an academic gpa of 4.25 . Would love a chance !

  14. Anything that has the word comedy in it, is the right role for me. I will bring value to this movie with my unique talent of being a comic. I have great natural comic timing. Not only is acting a passion of mines, but I also love the arts of writing and producing. I am willing to serve on this production whether it's for a supporting, principle, and/or extra role. I know I have the ability to execute my talents to the consumers need.

  15. Fellow Brooklyn native here. I just want to say that I have followed your work ever since I was a child and it would be an absolute honor to be in one of your films.

  16. I would love to be considered for a part in this movie. I would love to play Samuel L. Jackson or Spike Lee's wife. I will be willing to play any part that is available. I live in Tennessee, and it is very hard to get into the acting world here. I have paid many talent agencies, in hopes to be able to get a part in a movie, but to no avail. I have a great personality, I am 5"6", African American and, 52 years old, but look 40. I have been told by many that I speak well. I would love to hear from you!

    Thank You,
    Deborah Scott
